Ala Balata Artworks Collection Through the use of Naqsh Collective’s classics of embroidery patterns, Ala Balata marks a deliberate return to origins. The work revisits the moment when the sisters first began translating Palestinian embroidery into a contemporary language, treating pattern not merely as ornament, but as a living archive of memory, gesture, and place. Emerging from childhood recollections, these motifs serve as points of departure, anchoring the work in an inherited visual vocabulary drawn from their grandparents’ home, while allowing it to unfold into new forms of expression.
